PESHAWAR, (APP): A meeting regarding control of dengue
was held here with District Nazim, Mohammad Asim Khan.
District Health Officer (DHO), Dr Jehangir Khan, Zonal Manager, WSSP,
Arif Rauf, Assistant Manager WSSP, Naeem Ahmad, DSM PPHI, Mukhtiar Khan, Zahid Hussain of PPHI, Amin Gul and others also attended the meeting.
During the meeting, the representatives of health department, PPHI and
WSSP gave detailed briefing for eradication of dengue in the area.
The meeting was also informed about the steps taken to control dengue in
the area.
Speaking on the occasion, District Nazim. Mohammad Asim Khan said
that the 2016 would be the year of dengue eradication and asked the three organizations for coordination with each other and continued fumigation.
He directed the concerned to submit report regarding dengue
eradication after two weeks to the District Nazim.
He said that areas where so far no spray is conducted, should be covered
with immediate effect.
He directed the stakeholder organizations to conduct spray particularly
in nullahs to control reproduction of mosquitos.
