FAISALABAD, (APP): Thikriwala police claimed to have busted a
dacoit gang by arresting its two active members including ringleader, here on Thursday night.
Police spokesman told here on Friday that SHO Thikriwala police station
along with his team conducted raid near Chak 77-JB and arrested Faisal
Spira resident of Chak 159-JB (ringleader) and his accomplice Husnain
Samoor resident of Chak 168-JB whereas their three accomplices Aun Raza, Ahmad and Mehran managed to escape from the scene under the cover of darkness.
Police also recovered two pistols and a number of bullets from their
possession and locked them behind the bars for further investigation.
These accused were wanted by police of Batala Colony, Sadar and Factory
Area circles in a number of dacoity, robbery, theft and other street crime cases.
A special team has also been formed to trace out the whereabouts and
arrest of fleeing accused, he added.
