Indian peace-worker upset on heavy militarisation in Kashmir

ISLAMABAD, (APP): An Indian peace-worker, who concluded his 16-
month “walk for hope” from Kanyakumari (Tamil Nadu) to Kashmir, has said that he was upset on heavy militarization of Kashmir.
According to KMS, the activist, Mumtaz Ali, in a media interview at a
hotel in Srinagar where he was camping along with several activists from all
across India stressed the need for dialogue to find out an amicable resolution of the Kashmir dispute.On recent killings in Handwara and restrictions on Kashmiri leaders, he said that it was not the right way. “Everybody should be accountable. The army too must be accountable,” he dded.
Mumtaz Ali also lamented that Kashmiri students were targeted in
educational institutions in India.
He began his “walk for hope” on January 12, 2015, and has walked
through several Indian states. He said that he met with millions of people to spread his message of peace and oneness of humanity.
