Korea to provide $46 mln soft loan for hospital in Bahawalpur

ISLAMABAD, (APP): Korea will provide $46 million soft
loan to Pakistan for constructing a hospital in Bahawalpur, outgoing
Korean Ambassador Song Jong-Hwan said on Thursday.
The envoy, who paid a farewell call on Federal Minister for
Inter-provincial Coordination Mian Riaz Husain Pirzada, said Korea
would also fully support and cooperate with Pakistan in the field
of sports.
He said Pakistan and Korea were enjoying good relations and
these would get further strengthened in future.
He said the two countries had also good ties in the field
of sports, adding “we want to benefit from Korea, especially in
the field of sports,” according to press release said.
Pirzada apprised the envoy that Pakistan was ‘heading’ towards
establishing a Sports University in the premises of the Sports
Complex.
The minister lauded the services of ambassador Song Jong-Hwan,
saying that both Pakistan and Korea came further closer during his
tenure in Pakistan.
The outgoing ambassador expressed his gratitude for support
and cooperation extended by the government and people of Pakistan
for making his stay here productive.
