Mehbooba acting like pawn to implement RSS agenda in IOK: Gilani

ISLAMABAD, (APP): Chairman of All Parties Hurriyet Conference,
Syed Ali Gilani has said that the puppet Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti and her colleagues are acting like pawns for the implementation of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) agenda in the territory.
Syed Ali Gilani in a statement issued in Srinagar strongly denounced
the ban on holding of the APHC’s seminar by Indian police in Srinagar as the worst kind of state terrorism, Kashmir Media Service reported.
He said that Mehbooba Mufti seemed to have taken a dip in the river
Ganga, considered sacred by Hindus. He warned that banning of the peaceful political activities will have serious repercussions.
Meanwhile, the APHC spokesman, Ayaz Akbar, in a statement said,
Mehbooba Mufti and her party PDP have completely surrendered before the Sangh Parivar and they take pride in obeying their orders.
He said that the BJP and RSS were using the state machinery for the
implementation of their wicked agendas and the PDP was acting as their agent.
“The Jammu province is already under the full control of the communal
forces and now they want to extend this campaign to the Kashmir Valley,” he
added.
The spokesman said that the new phase of the BJP-PDP regime had
toughened its policies towards the pro-freedom people and they were not being given any space to conduct their political activities.
He said that scores of pro-freedom people had been detained under
draconian law, Public Safety Act, and others who were out of jail were being hounded by Indian police.
The APHC had scheduled to organize a daylong seminar titled “Present
Situations and Our Responsibilities”. “It was an academic function which was
going to be held within the closed doors. The seminar would have neither
influenced the law and order situation nor the traffic management,” Ayaz Akbar said.
He said that many pro-freedom leaders and activists who had come to
attend the proposed seminar sat on peaceful sit-in protest on the airport road. “But the police used excessive force and injured dozens of them,” he said.
The Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party, a constituent of the
APHC, in a statement termed the ban on the seminar and use of force against Hurriyet activists as the frustration of puppet administration.
It said that pro-India people before coming to power make huge claims
of democracy and freedom of speech and expression but after assuming power showed their real face by resorting to the worst kind of suppressive and undemocratic tactics.
