Lawmakers criticize negative, immature politics of PTI Chief

ISLAMABAD, May 13 (APP): The lawmakers in the National
Assembly on Friday criticized negative politics of PTI’s chief Imran
Khan and said after the Panama Leaks issue two bye-polls were held
in the country and both were won by the PML-N candidates, which
showed trust of the people on PML-N leadership.
Captain (Retd) Mohammad Safdar on a point of order said that
hue and cry was being raised on the Panama Leaks issue just to hapmer
the way of development in the country.
He said the PML-N leadership was not afraid of any
accountability and challenged if a single penny of corruption was
proved against Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif he would be the
first one to tender resignation from the House.
He congratulated the people of Peshawar for casting their
votes in favour of the PML-N candidate in PK-8 Peshawar bye-
elections and said like in 2013 polls the PTI could not deceive the
people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in this bye polls.
He said the PTI chief had leveled baseless allegations against
him and his family for alleged concealment of assets and added that
he would file a damage sue worth Rs one billion against Imran Khan
in the Supreme Court of Pakistan.
He said certain media outlet was resorted for media trial of
elected representatives where under qualified anchor-persons and
analysts set together every night and disgrace the politicians. He
said the fate of country could not be decided in talk shows.
Challenging PTI chief Imran Khan, Captain Safdar said “Let
both resign from our seats and then go for re-election.”
He said the PTI chief was making conspiracy against China
Pakistan Economic Corridor project as they were against development
of the country. He said the PML-N agenda was development of the
country and it would win the 2018 elections on its performance.
Talal Chaudhry said those who made corruption of billions of
rupees in the Employees Old-age Benefits Institution (EOBI) should
be exposed.
He said that former chairman of the EOBI had bought land from
Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI)’s Aleem Khan for Rs2.6 billion in
Lahore while the current market value of the said land was not more
than Rs1.041 billion; thus, the EOBI has suffered a loss of Rs1.559
billion in one deal alone.
He said the Prime Minister would come to the National Assembly
and at all proper forums to reply in connection with Panama Leaks
issue but added that why the PTI leadership was hesitant from
declaring their billions of rupees assets.
Speaking on a point of order, Raja Javed Ikhlas criticized the
opposition for de-stabilizing the government. He said that those who
were raising hue and cry were responsible for Hajj, Rental and EOBI
mega scams.
He said the past government took Rs.5000 billion loans during
their five year term which were almost double to total country’s
loans.
He said that the past government did not launch any mega
projects during their whole tenure. Javed said owing to economic-
friendly policies of the government, many countries including China,
Iran, Turkey, Saudi Arabia and others have started investment in
Pakistan.
Works on Motorways and new power projects has already been
started which would bring progress and prosperity, he added.
Mian Abdul Manan, Ramesh Lal, Tahira Aurangzeb, Chaudhry
Muneer and Maulana Amir Zaman also spoke on the occasion and
criticized the PTI chairman for his negative and immature politics.
