ISLAMABAD, (APP): Ambassador of Italy Stefano Pontecorvo along
with Executive Vice President-designate ENI, an energy company, Luca Vignati called on Minister for Water and Power Khwaja Muhammad Asif here on Friday.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed matters of mutual
interests and cooperation in the field of energy sector.
The Minister said that Pakistan wanted to further strengthen
its relations with Italy.
He said Pakistan’s economy was progressing and the present
democratic government had taken business friendly initiatives to attract foreign investment especially in energy and infrastructure developments sectors, said a press release.
He stressed the need for increasing bilateral trade, business
and people to people contacts between the two countries.
The Ambassador said Italy was enjoying friendly ties with Pakistan at
different level.
