CDA allocates 40 mln for preservation of cave

ISLAMABAD, (APP): Capital Development Authority has
decided to allocate Rs 40 million for conservation and preservation of
caves located in archeological site of Shah Allah Ditta.
This was decided in a meeting held at CDA Headquarters here on
Friday.
The meeting was attended by the Member Administration CDA, Amer
Ali Ahmed, Member Environment Sanaullah Aman, and other senior officers
of the Authority while Deputy Mayor Syed Zeshaan Ali Naqvi was also
present.
Member Environment Sanaullah Aman apprised the meeting that
token funds for the conservation of archeological site have already been
released while tendering process is being completed at fast pace after which
work on preservation of the sites will be commenced without any delay.
On this occasion Member Administration Amer Ali Ahmed said that
the caves located in the Shah Allah Ditta area are our national heritage and
a symbol of our elegant past, therefore, CDA would utilize all available
resources to conserve the ancient remains.
He said that work on the project would be commenced during the
current financial year.
