ISLAMABAD, (APP): The Chairman of All Parties Hurriyet
Conference, Syed Ali Gilani has termed the statement of puppet Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti against Pakistan as ridiculous and baseless in which she hailed Indian police that it is preventing Jammu and Kashmir from becoming Syria and Pakistan.
Syed Ali Gilani in a statement issued in Srinagar, today, said that the
dreaded Special Operation Group of the same Indian police had been involved in killing of hundreds of youth in custody and fake encounters in the territory, Kashmir Media Service reported.
Meanwhile, the APHC spokesman in a statement said that Mehbooba Mufti
had shown her frustration over the growing attachment of Kashmiri people with Pakistan.
He said that bracketing Pakistan with Syria and Iraq was totally
unrealistic.
The top pro-freedom leaders Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and
Muhammad Yasin Malik at a joint meeting in Srinagar called for complete
shutdown on Thursday to send a loud and clear message to India that people of Kashmir will never accept separate townships for Kashmiri Pandits, colonies for retired Indian soldiers, harassment of Jammu Muslims and New Delhi’s so- called Industrial Policy in Kashmir.
Hurriyet leaders Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, Javaid Ahmad Mir, Masroor Abbass
Ansari, and Muhammad Musadiq Adil, addressing people at Pattan reiterated the Kashmiris’ resolve to thwart Israeli-type policies of India in Jammu and
Kashmir, aimed at changing the demography of the territory.
Indian troops, in their fresh act of state terrorism, martyred two more
Kashmiri youth in a fake encounter in Srinagar, last night. The troops killed the youth during a crackdown operation in Sara-i-Bala area of the city.
The killing led to forceful anti-India demonstrations in the area.
Indian police fired teargas shells and pellets on protesters who tried to hold funeral in absentia for the martyred youth.
On the other hand, a large number of people, mostly youth, took out a
rally in Handwara in memory of the five civilians who were killed when the
Indian army fired on peaceful protesters in the town, last month.
The demonstrators raising pro-freedom and anti-India slogans marched
from different markets of the town to the martyrs’ graveyard and offered
fateha for the departed souls.
