Shipping at Port Qasim

KARACHI, (APP): Two ships C.V Northern Jamboree and M.T
Liberty-N carrying containers and LPG berthed at Qasim International
Container Terminal and Engro Vopak Terminal and Engro Vopak Terminal
respectively on Wednesday.
Meanwhile three more ships C.V CMA CGM Corneille, C.V Busan and
M.T Beech Galaxy with containers and palm oil also arrived at outer
anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours.
Berth occupancy was managed at the port at 53% on Wednesday where
a total of eight ships namely, C.V Northern Jamboree, C.V MA CGM
Uruguay, M.V Adventurer-K, M.V KM Tokyo, M.T Atlantic Glory, M.T
Liberty-N, M.T Nor Star intrepid and M.T Bunga Akasia were occupied
PQA berths to load/offload containers, cement, soya bunga akasia were

seed,s chemicals, LPG, diesel oil and palm oil respectively during
last 24 hours.
Cargo handling registered an upward trend at the prot where a
cargo volume 101,658 tonnes, comprising 65,863 tonnes imports and
35,795 tonnes exports, inclusive of containerized cargo carried in
3,787 containers, (TUES) (2,160 TEUs imports & 1,627 TEUs exports) was
handled during last 24 hours.
Container vessel ‘CMA CGM Uruguay’ sailed out to sea on Wednesday
morning, while two more ships, chemicals carrier ‘Atlantic Glory’ and
LPG carrier ‘Liberty-N’ are expected to sail on sameday afternoon.
Three ships C.V MSC Busan, C.V CMA CGM Corneille and M.T Al-
Damsa carrying containers and diesel oil are expected to take berths
at Container Terminal and FOTCO Oil Terminal respectively on Thursday,
while two more container ships “Malleco’ and Maersk Innoshima are due
to arrive at Port Qasim on Friday.
