Four Mexicans among Orlando victims

MEXICO CITY, (APP/AFP) – Four Mexicans were among
the 49 people killed in a gunman’s assault on a nightclub in the US city of Orlando, Florida, Mexico’s government said Monday.
The foreign ministry earlier reported three Mexican deaths but later
confirmed the fourth victim and said it was in contact with all their families.
Mexico’s consul in Orlando, Juan Sabines, told Milenio television that one of them was an American man whose father is Mexican, but officials did not say if the three others also were US citizens.
Another Mexican was among the 53 people wounded in the weekend attack at the Pulse club and is in stable condition, officials said.
“I want to express our solidarity, in the name of Mexico and our society, with the families of the victims of this act of horror and terror,” President Enrique Pena Nieto said.
The worst terror attack on US soil since September 11, 2001, was
perpetrated by Omar Mateen, an American who was radicalized by Islamist
propaganda, US officials said.
