NAB Balochistan granted fourth remand of Raisani

QUETTA, (APP): The Accountability Court Quetta has granted
remands for more 14 days of suspended finance secretary Balochistan, Mushtaq
Ahmed Raisani to the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Balochistan
in mega corruption case.
The same court also remanded accountant of Municipal Committee,
Khaliqabad, Nadeem Iqbal in the custody of the NAB Balochistan for another 14 days.
After completion of period of third remand of 14 days, the NAB team
brought the suspect, Raisani before the Accountability Court Quetta, here on Wednesday and submitted for granting remand for another 14 days.
The Judge of the Accountability Court, Abdul Majeed Nasar accepting the
request of the NAB Balochistan extended the remand of the suspect, Raisani in the custody of the NAB for another 14 days.
The lawyers of the suspended finance secretary submitted in the court
that Raisani may be allowed to meet with his family twice a week. They also submitted for his medical check-up.
The court directed the NAB to arrange meeting of the family members
with Raisani besides arranging his medical check-up.
The NAB submitted that the family could meet with Raisani once a
week and further told the court that medical check-up of Raisani was being made on daily basis.
It is recalled here that Mushtaq Ahmed Raisani was arrested by NAB in
embezzlement of government funds of Public Sector Development Program (PSDP) and Local Government Department. The NAB also recovered cash over Rs 650 million, gold and foreign currency from the house of the ex-secretary finance.
