3-member committee to hold talks with KPs: Mirwaiz

ISLAMABAD, (APP): Chairman of Hurriyet forum, Mirwaiz
Umar Farooq in Indian Held Kashmir (IHK) has said that a three-member committee of the resistance leadership will be set up to hold talks
with the Kashmiri Pandits for their return to the Kashmir Valley.
Mirwaiz Umar Farooq addressing a gathering in Srinagar said
that Hurriyet leadership was very serious about return of Kashmiri
Pandits.
“We are not doing politics on this human issue and are
serious for return of Pandits,” he added.
The Mirwaiz said that the committee would apprise the Pandits
that they would be safe at their native places rather than separate townships to be set up by the occupation authorities for them, Kashmir
Meida Service reported.
He said that creation of soldier colonies and implementation
of new Industrial Policy for Kashmir was RSS ploy not only to weaken Kashmiris economically but also to settle non-locals to change
demography of the territory.
“The anti-Kashmir agendas of BJP and RSS, which are endorsed
by the PDP regime, are aimed at making Kashmiris dependent on India
and change the Muslim majority status of Kashmir,” he said.
The Mirwaiz said that Mehbooba-led PDP-BJP regime, which was
actually run from Nagpur, was to facilitate the entry of non-state
subjects into Kashmir through various conspiracies including soldier colonies, settling refugees, giving permanent homes to non-Kashmiri
slum dwellers and through the industrial policy.
He condemned the imposition of restrictions, house arrests
and detention of Hurriyet leaders and activists.
He also demanded a fair probe into the killing of the
Bemina youth, Sheikh Tanveer Sultan, who was recently martyred
by Indian police at Kud in Udhampur district.
