FAISALABAD,(APP): The police department released a security plan for Eid-ul-Fitr here on Monday.
Police spokesman Amir Waheed said that major Eid congregations will be held at 984 places across the district including 758 congregations in mosques and 226 at open spaces.
He said that more than 5000 police Jawans coupled with Police
Qaumi Razakars (PQRs) would perform duty around Eid congregations
whereas 5 Superintendents Police (SPs), 13 Deputy Superintendents
Police (DSPs), 11 Inspectors and 97 Sub Inspectors would monitor
and ensure tight security arrangements.
He said that the police have set up 130 pickets at various points
of the district including Interchange Kamal Pur, Sahianwala and Deputy
Wala where IDPs and suspect persons would be checked.
The horse-riding police contingents would ensure patrolling inside the city area. Special patrolling teams would also patrol in 24 sensitive
areas of the district whereas 12 teams of Elite Force would remain
active on main roads of Faisalabad.
