Eid being celebrated with zeal, enthusiasm

ISLAMABAD, (APP): The third day of Eid-ul-Fitr is being
celebrated across the country on Friday with zeal and enthusiasm.
Eid is celebrated for three days period, a cheerful occasion
particularly for children to share joys with others.
Eid-ul-Fitr is called `Sweet Eid’ as desserts, cakes and many
sweet dishes were especially prepared for the day. During Eid
days, people keep visiting their relatives and exchange Eid
greetings.
The residents of twin cities of Rawalpindi, Islamabad and
suburban areas thronged different parks to enjoy the third day of
Eid-ul-Fitr.
Families along with children were seen at the city parks and
picnic spots on Friday. There was also rush at restaurants to enjoy
dishes of different kinds.
People belonging to various walks of life including children
were seen enjoying at Nawaz Sharif Park, Roomi Park, Play Land, Children Park, Satellite Town, Wild Life Park, Lohi Bher, Jinnah Park, Ayub National Park, Rawal Lake View Park, Fatima Jinnah Park, Shakarparian, Daman-e-Koh, Rawal Dam and Pir Sohawa, etc.
“Visiting picnic spots on Eid days have always been attracted to us as
compared to normal days, ” said Naveed Alam, a shopkeeper enjoying the Eid festivity at Lakeview park.
Traffic Police had deployed special staff to maintained
traffic discipline in twin cities during Eid days.
Strict security measures were adopted to ensure security of
public.
Police kept patrolling crowded areas like busy roads, markets,
shopping centers and graveyards to avert any untoward incident.
Great rush of people were seen in restaurants and hotels
during the Eid days. The residents also visited Food Streets Stadium
road, Melody and Rawalpindi Cantt at night to enjoy the traditional
Tikka Karahi and Bar B Que.
Great hustle and bustle is also witnessed in cinemas where
film lovers are entertaining themselves with movies.
Meanwhile, the city traffic police had made special arrangements to
facilitate the motorists in Murree. The additional traffic wardens were deployed in Murree to ensure smooth flow of traffic at the hill station during the Eid holidays.
