Tokyo’s benchmark stock index recoups Brexit losses

TOKYO, (APP/AFP) – Tokyo’s benchmark stock
index ended higher Thursday, recouping all the losses it suffered after Britain’s vote last month to exit the EU pummelled world financial markets.
The Nikkei 225 climbed 0.95 percent, or 154.46 points, to close at
16,385.89, its fourth winning session in a row, while the broader Topix index of all first-section shares tacked on 0.84 percent, or 10.90 points, to 1,311.16.
