Iranian delegates visits Quetta Chamber of Commerce

QUETTA, (APP): A delegation from Iran comprising representatives
of Zahidan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, officials of Iran Railways and others visited Quetta Chamber of Commerce and Industry here on Tuesday.
The officials from both countries vowed to increase trade volume between
the two countries from US $1 billion to US $5 billion.
The Iranian delegation led by head of Chamber of Commerce and Industry
Sistan, Nadir Mir Shikari comprised of Collector Custom, Zahidan, Ms. Mamoon Nord and other Iranian officials.
The Iranian delegate was accorded a warm welcome by President Quetta
Chamber of Commerce, Jamal Khan Taraqai, Assistant Collector Custom Quetta, Dr. Farid and other officials.
Addressing the joint meeting, Shikari said that business community had
been playing role between the two countries by promoting trade activities. It is need of hour to promote trade activities between Iran and Pakistan, he said.
Taraqai said that present volume of trade and business between Pakistan
and Iran was around US $01 billion. “We will make joint efforts to increase trade volume of import and export between Pakistan and Iran from US $01 billion to US $05 billion, ” he said.
