Hurriyet leadership extends shutdown till Sunday

ISLAMABAD, (APP): The top Hurriyet leadership in
occupied Kashmir has extended the strike call till Sunday (July
31) asking the people to hold sit-in protests against civilian
killings.
The All Parties Hurriyet Conference Chairman, Syed Ali
Gilani, and Hurriyet leaders, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad
Yasin Malik, in a joint statement issued in Srinagar said that on
Saturday (July 30), people should hold sit-in on roads and offer
Asr and Maghrib prayers together there, kashmir Media Service
reported.
People should also raise pro-freedom slogans and observe
blackout from 8 pm to 9 pm, they said.
The leaders said that on Sunday (July 31) the people should
march towards Martyrs’ Graveyards and offer Fateha Khawani there.
They also called for painting of pro-freedom slogans’ graffiti on
walls, roads and other places.
“Shutdown will continue as usual with daily relaxation after
7 pm till late hours. The detailed programme will be issued on
Saturday (July 30),” they added.
