LNG deal to promote transport sectors in KP: Ex KPCCI President

PESHAWAR, (APP): Khyber Pakthunkhwa Chamber of Commerce and
Industry former President, Yousaf Sarwar said on Tuesday that agreement of Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) between Pakistan and Qatar would help promote transport sector besides bolstering industrialization and business activities in the province.
Talking to APP, Yousaf Sarwar said LNG was a very important deal
made during the recent visit of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif that would revitalize economy of Pakistan besides promoting all major sectors of the country.
He said all provinces would reap its benefits.
Welcoming the LNG agreement between Islamabad and Doha, the KPCCI leader said LNG plays a very important role in economic growth of countries and the energy starved states like Pakistan required it for expediting process of economic development besides catering the high demands of gas for domestic and industrial consumption.
He said energy shortfall was the major issue of the country and KP,
which is adversely affecting industrial growth and with imports of LNG from brotherly Islamic country ould help solve this problem with great extant besides saving billions of rupees to the national exchequer.
“The people of KP is largely associated with transport sector and
will get maximum benefits from LNG deal”. He said LNG would provide cheaper fuel to transporters and will get upward boom by bringing prosperities in lives of common man.
The deal will help generate economic activities in less developed
areas of Khyber Pakthunkhwa besides giving new life to transport sector in rural areas of the province besides reducing dependency on petroleum and CNG.
