Kashmir struggle has entered into crucial phase: Mirwaiz

ISLAMABAD, (APP): The Chairman of Hurriyet forum,
Mirwaiz Umar Farooq,in Indian held Kashmir (IHK), has appealed to the
people of Kashmir to stick to the protest calendar given by the
joint leadership with unity and steadfastness.
Mirwaiz Umar Farooq in a statement in Srinagar said that as
the Kashmiris’ struggle had entered into a crucial phase it was
incumbent upon both Hurriyet leadership and the people to remain
united, steadfast and follow the joint protest calendar in letter
and spirit,reported Kashmir Media Service (KMS).
The Mirwaiz has been lodged at Cheshma Shahi sub-jail in
Srinagar.
Meanwhile, the Hurriyet forum in a statement asked the
authorities why Mirwaiz Umar Farooq had been put behind the bars.
The statement condemned the imposition of curfew and restrictions,
use of excessive force on peaceful protest demonstrations and
marches, injuring of peaceful protestors with pellet guns and
teargas shells and arbitrary arrests of youth under black law,
Public Safety Act. “Such tactics could not break the will and
resolve of the freedom-loving people of Kashmir,” it added.
