Qazigund youth killing denounced in IOK

ISLAMABAD, Sep 5 (APP): Hurriyet leaders, Shabbir Ahmad Dar, Muhammad
Iqbal Mir Muhammad Ahsan Untoo, Imtiyaz Ahmad Reshi, G.N War and others have
strongly denounced the killing of Qazigund youth, Abdul Basit by Indian forces.
According to Kashmir Media , the Hurriyet leaders in a joint statement
issued in Srinagar said the forces opened pellet gun firing and shelling on the peaceful protesters in which Abdul Basit was killed and dozens others were injured in the area.They also condemned the use of force on peaceful protesters of Shopian in which above 100 parsons were injured. They said before the arrival of All Party delegation from India, the whole Kashmir was converted into a big jail. They said: “We are not against talks but as long all three principal parties will not participate in talks it will not bear fruit.
The Hurriyet leaders said that the most peaceful and democratic way to settle the Kashmir dispute was to give Kashmiri people the right to self-
determination.
They said Kashmir is witnessing the worst kind of Indian state terrorism as more than 80 people have been killed and thousands injured by forces in last two months.
