Gilani condemns continued use of force on protesters in IOK

ISLAMABAD, (APP): All Parties Hurriyet Conference
(APHC) Chairman, Syed Ali Gilani has condemned the continued use
of force on peaceful protesters across the Valley.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Syed Ali Gilani in his
telephonic address to rallies at Dargah and Noorbagh in Srinagar
said: “Our uprising has entered the third month, but the brute
force of Indian armed forces seems to have no end; its gravity and
intensity increases with each passing day.”
He said no place is devoid of these atrocities, adding people are subjected to the worst kind of treatment by the forces that try and test their all kinds of weaponry on the non-violent demonstrations and peaceful programmes.
Syed Ali Gilani said that the police continued their habit of gate crashing and nocturnal raids, terrorising the whole populace. “Our people courageously and bravely face all odds, even during the harshest days of their life,” he said
He said that the people in general and the youth in
particular needed to be vigilant, as a small and minor lapse might
lead to a massive disaster as for as the movement is concerned.
“My 50-year political experience and 150 rounds of talks
stand testimony to it that people met, had photo shoot, then a cup
of tea for so many decades but our bloodshed didn’t stop. Our
fourth generation is bound to live under the dark and obnoxious
shadow of Indian thrall. Our kids are living under the threat of
forced armed occupation with its all repercussions,” he said.
He said the upcoming Eid-ul-Azha should be celebrated with
utmost austerity without forgetting the needy in the
neighborhoods. “We have a clear and simple stand that unless the
gravity and intensity of the Kashmir dispute is not agreed upon,
any negotiations or talks are bound to fail,” he said.
The APHC Chairman said: “Our fourth generation is bound to
live under the dark and obnoxious shadow of Indian thrall. Our
kids are living under the threat of forced armed occupation with
its all repercussions. Our culture, faith and economy are at stake
as we always are forced to keep the account of our dead ones,” he
said.
