SUKKUR, Oct 18 (APP): International Poverty Eradication Day was observed in Shikarpur on Tuesday at Local Support Organization (LSO) Network Umeed taulka Garhi Yaseen, Shikarpur with collaboration of Rural Support Organization (SRSO). Speaking the event, Regional Manager SRSO, Dr Ghulam Rasool Samejo said with the support of Sindh government SRSO was trying to empowerment of people, eradication of poverty, providing employment and development. He said that the day is reflects the willingness of people living in poverty to use their expertise to contribute to the eradication of poverty. SRSO was a salient innovation and it could help bring actual change in the society, he added. He said that his organization’s mandate is to alleviate poverty by harnessing people’s potential, lying within the communities to help themselves and undertake development activities.
