LAHORE, Oct 20 (APP): The Cardiac Unit at Mayo Hospital has been made fully functional, where Cardiac Surgeon Dr Raja Pervaiz Akhtar conducted eight successful bypass operations during the last two weeks. This was disclosed by the Medical Superintendent Dr Amjad Shehzad in a press release issued here. Dr Amjad said that the provincial government has provided new equipment worth Rs 80 million to the unit. He said that100 angioplasty procedures of poor patients had been carried out free of cost during the last three months.
