PESHAWAR Oct 21 (APP): The Third International conference on Sustainability in Process Industry (SPI)-2016 concluded here at University of Engineering and Technology, Peshawar on Friday. Vice Chancellor UET Peshawar, Prof. Dr. Iftikhar Hussain was the chief guest on the occasion. The conference was organized by UET Peshawar in collaboration with Higher Education Commission of Pakistan and Pakistan Scientific and Technological Information Center (PASTIC) as main sponsors. Chairman Department of Chemical Engineering Department Dr. Muhammad Younis and Director ORIC Dr. Saeed Gul, faculty members and students were also present on the occasion. Dr. Younis said that around 47 institutions from all over the country participated in the two-day event in which over 100 research papers were also submitted in the conference. Addressing the occasion Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Iftikhar Hussain said, it was indeed a matter of pride for UET Peshawar who conducted third conference on Sustainability in process industry. He congratulated the Department of Chemical Engineering and its team who organized the event. Prof. Dr. Iftikhar Hussain said, UET Peshawar would soon start classes in its new Dir Campus with the aim to providing quality education at the door steps of people. He also said that it was also encouraging that almost all disciplines at UET Peshawar are offered at Master’s and Ph.D. levels, taught by a highly qualified teaching faculty. In the end, shields and certificates were distributed among the winners of different competitions including poster session, project oral presentations and internship reports.
