Poor socio-economic condition termed main cause of zoonotic diseases

MULTAN, Oct 22 (APP): Poor socio-economic status of developing nations is one of the leading factors predisposing the emergence of zoonotic diseases. Although zoonotic diseases have great impact on animal and human health but like most of the developed countries, unfortunately there is not even a single research institute solely dedicated for research on zoonotic pathogens including diagnosis, surveillance, control, prevention and eradication from where experts may help the policymakers in developing the control strategies.
