Youth participates in “Green Pakistan Programme”

ISLAMABAD, Oct 24 (APP): The students of schools in federal capital participated in `Green Pakistan Programme’ started by Ministry of Climate change. The spokesman for the climate change ministry said “This is first practical initiative of plantation under Green Pakistan Programme taken by Ministry of Climate change with school children. The purpose of the initiative was to prepare young minds to make Pakistan green.” He Said” We are really proud to our young students who made our first effort successful in making Pakistan green. They showed wonderful efforts and contribution in the plantation campaign to fulfill our target of 100 million trees in the country.” He said “Pakistan signed Paris agreement and showed its commitment to implement it. Pakistan is going to participate in 22nd session of the Conference of the Parties (COP-22) in November. This plantation campaign before COP-22 is also a step to prove our commitment and also to show that we are taking concrete steps to create awareness and involving our children.”
