ISLAMABAD, Oct 27 (APP): The All Parties Hurriyet Conference (APHC) Chairman, Syed Ali Gilani, the Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF)Chairman, Mohammad Yasin Malik and other Hurriyet leaders have described October 27, 1947, as the day of mourning for the people of Kashmir as on the day Indian forces illegally occupied the territory of Jammu and Kashmir. According to KMS, Syed Ali Gilani in a statement issued in Srinagar said that it was the ill-fated day of October 27, 1947, when India against all constitutional, legal, moral or democratic norms landed its army in Jammu and Kashmir, putting an end to civil, social, religious and human liberties of the Kashmiri people. He said, “India has corrupted our own people, both materially and mentally,to safeguard their undemocratic and armed control leading to the birth of countless Abdulahs, Muftis, Qasims, Sadiqs and Bakhshis who with the help of this armed crutches have cemented the bloody paws of Indian rule.”
