European stock markets begin week lower

LONDON, Oct 31 (APP/AFP) – Europe’s main stock fell at the start of trading on Monday, with London’s benchmark FTSE 100 index down 0.4 percent at 6,969.67 points. In the eurozone, Frankfurt’s DAX 30 slipped 0.4 percent to 10,658.67 points and the Paris CAC 40 index lost 0.5 percent to 4,525.60 compared with Friday’s close.
