ISLAMABAD, Nov 2 (APP): Effective security arrangements have been made in the federal capital city Islamabad for maintaining law and order during gathering of Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) at parade ground, near Faizabad. More than 20,000 law enforcers have been deployed to ensure law and order in the federal capital, police sources said adding that additional force comprising Frontier Constabulary (FC), Punjab police, Azad Jammu and Kashmir police and some other law enforcement agencies (LEAs) were also asked to perform duty. The security personnel were totally unarmed for peaceful handling and guidance to the participants as ordered by the IGP, the sources said. The close liaison was ordered among various officials assigned security duties and also with the organizers to maintain peace and tranquility on the occasion. Vigilance at exit and entry points of the city was also enhanced while patrolling in various main avenues was observed. Meanwhile, personnel of Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) were also deputed to guide road users and ensure implementation on traffic diversion plan for their convenience.
