CHITRAL, Feb 25 (APP): The first ever snow Jeep rally would be
held at Lowari Top, on the border of district Chitral and district
Dir on February 28.
Jointly arranged by the government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan
Army and local administration, the rally would cover a distance of 20.9 km around the area of Lowari Top and Lowari Tunnel having a height 10230 ft.
Preparations were in full swing for the rally which would
also include local food and cultural performances by the performers of
both districts including Kalash cultural performances.
Historically the track of the rally is called “Hell Road” by
the Western media and the rally is being organized to convert it
into thrill road, said an official of local administration here.
He said it is worth mentioning here that Pakistan Army has
opened the Lowari Top for traffic during this winter with
dedicated and selfless efforts.
He said the rally would give a strong message to the world that
now the area was perfectly peaceful and national and
international tourists could enjoy its tourist attractions without any hindrance or fear.
