PPP announces 3-day mourning on Jehangir Badar’s death

ISLAMABAD, (MILLAT+APP): The Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP)
Monday announced a three-day mourning following the death of party’s
stalwart and senior leader Jehangir Badar.
Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto Zardari
announced the three-day mourning, to be observed across the country
by PPP, and canceled his scheduled engagements.
In a condolence message here issued by the party secretariat,
Bilawal Bhutto expressed shock and pain over the demise of
party’s senior leader and former secretary general Jehangir Badar.
Paying glowing tribute for his unshakable loyalty, commitment
and conviction to “Bhuttoism” during his whole life, he said that
Jehangir Badar was a ‘Jiyala’ who fought against ruthless martial
laws. The deceased braved imprisonments and torture but stood
steadfast and committed to Bhuttoism under Shaheed Zulfikar Ali
Bhutto, Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto and entire decades of
party’s struggle till his last breathe, he added.
Bilawal expressed sympathies with the members of bereaved
family and all the Jiyalas, adding “Jehangir Badar will continue to
illuminate in our memories as a brave party leader, worker and a
tall symbol of loyalty to Bhuttoism and democracy.”
