ISLAMABAD, (MILLAT+APP): The Chairperson of Kashmir Tehreek-
e-Khawateen (KTK), Zamruda Habib, in occupied Kashmir, has
expressed concern over the plight of political detainees and
arrest of innocent Kashmiris.
Zamruda Habib in a statement issued in Srinagar said that
detainees lodged in Baramulla, Kathua and other jails were not
being provided proper and medical facilities, reported Kashmir
Media Service.
She said that dozens of people from the Valley had been
shifted to Jammu under draconian Public Safety Act (PSA) where
they were facing inhuman treatment by the jail authorities. She
deplored that even the families were not being allowed to meet the
detainees.
Zamruda Habib appealed to the world community and
international human rights organizations to take notice of the
detainees’ plight in jails.
Meanwhile, Hurriyet leader, Firdous Ahmad Shah in his
statement in Srinagar said that anti-movement elements were trying
their best to sabotage the ongoing struggle and break the all
parties’ alliance. He urged the people to foil their nefarious
designs by forging greater unity in their ranks.
