DNA samples of family members of Pakistani victims collected

ISLAMABAD, (MILLAT+APP): Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences
(PIMS) Administrator Dr. Altaf Hussain on Friday said that the DNA
samples of family members of all Pakistani victims of the Pakistan
International Airlines (PIA) plane crash have been collected.
Talking to APP, he said the sample of last person (a family
member of the victim named Haseena Gul) was collected at PIMS around
5 am.
“The family members of three foreigners’ victims did not come
to PIMS for submission of DNA samples,” he said.
Altaf said the hospital management was waiting for collection
of remaining three samples.
“The collected samples of victims’ family members are being
sent to the laborites for DNA matching on priority basis,” he said.
He said the facilitation desk at PIMS will remain working till
collection of the last DNA sample of the family member.
“As the report comes the bodies will be handed over to the
victims family members after identification through DNA,” he said.
