DeM concerned over deteriorating health of Aasiya in jail

ISLAMABAD, (MILLAT+APP): Dukhtaran-e-Millat General
Secretary, Nahida Nasreen has expressed serious concern over the
deteriorating health of illegally detained party Chairperson,
Aasiya Andrabi, and demanded her immediate release.
Nahida Nasreen in a statement issued in Srinagar said that
Aasiya Andrabi developed some complications in the Baramulla jail,
where she has been detained under draconian law, Public Safety Act
(PSA), KMS reported.
She said that the DeM Chief had very high blood pressure,
besides developing some severe health complications.
Nahida Nasreen said that Aasiya Andrabi was later brought to
Soura Institute of Medical Sciences where doctors recommended that
she should be admitted, adding that the doctors also said that she
had to undergo various investigations.
However, Nahida Nasreen said that she was not allowed to get
admitted by a huge contingent of police that accompanied her to
the hospital.
She said that the police were directed by the SSP of
Baramulla not to let Aasiya get admitted in the hospital.
She warned that the puppet authorities would be responsible
if anything untoward happened to Aasiya Andrabi.
