KARACHI, (MILLAT+APP): The `Namaz-i-Janaza’ of religious scholar
and prominent Naat Khawan, Junaid Jamshed was offered at a ground in
DHA here on Thursday afternoon.
Eminent religious scholar, Maulana Tariq Jamil, led the funeral
prayer, which was attended by a large number of people from various
walks of life.
Earlier, the coffin wrapped in the national flag was brought from
PNS Shifa hospital.
Junaid and his wife Niha, were among the 47 people on board who had
died in a PIA plane crash near Havelian on December 7.
The `Namaz-i-Janaza’ of Junaid Jamshed’s wife was offered in Lahore
on Thursday. She was laid to rest there.
Meanwhile, after `Namaz-i-Janaza’, the body of Junaid Jamshed was
taken to Dar-ul-Uloom in Korangi, Karachi, for burial.
His body was brought to Karachi on Wednesday evening onboard C-130
from Islamabad.
