Hong Kong stocks extend gains at open, Shanghai dips

HONG KONG, (APP/AFP): Hong Kong stocks extended their
recent rally soon after opening on Thursday after another positive lead from Wall Street but Shanghai edged down after surging more than four percent in the previous session.
The Hang Seng Index rose 0.12 percent, or 24.50 points, to 20,027.99.
In Shanghai, the composite index eased 0.08 percent, or 2.35 points, to 2,847.33, while the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China’s second exchange, edged down 0.01 percent, 0.26 points, to 1,760.32.
