Indian Supreme court’s Verdict holds no meaning, says Shabbir Shah

ISLAMABAD, (MILLAT+APP): Illegally-detained Chairman of
Democratic Freedom Party (DFP), Shabbir Ahmad Shah has rejected
the Indian Supreme Court’s assertion that Jammu and Kashmir has
“no vestige of sovereignty outside the Constitution of India”
saying the verdict neither holds any meaning nor can it change the
disputed status of the territory.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Shabbir Ahmad Shah in a
statement issued in Srinagar said a few people in courts and
parliaments cannot make the political decisions of nations.
He said only the people of Jammu and Kashmir have the right
to decide the political future of the territory.
“By such moves, India wants to create confusion among masses
but it must bear in mind that few judges of particular mindset
cannot decide the future of 13 million people of Jammu and
Kashmir,” he said.
“The people of Jammu Kashmir have time and again proved that
they don’t acknowledge anyone’s supremacy or opinion that affects
the internationally accepted disputed nature of the territory but
will continue their struggle for right to self-determination,” he
added.
The DFP Chairman said India can buy some sycophants but the
position of those people is no more than puppets.
Reminding India of the UN resolutions that stand passed in
its Security Council and also the promises of the country’s then
leaders regarding Kashmir, Shah said the Supreme Court’s verdict
doesn’t even qualify to be termed as tribal jirga.
