PESHAWAR, (MILLAT+APP): Khyber Pakhtunkhawa Chief Minister Pervez
Khattak has appreciated the performance of Women Parliamentary Caucus (WPC) and after assuring all possible cooperation has announced a grant of Rs.5 million for the body.
This was told to 11th meeting of the WPC held here with Chairperson,
Meraj Hamayun Khan in the chair. During the meeting, Amna Sardar was administered oath as vice chairperson.
The WPC discussed its strategy according to which a bill for prohibition
of dowry has already been introduced in the provincial assembly while Domestic Violence Bill will be submitted with the provincial assembly before the end of next month.
The participants of the meeting were asked for sending their proposals
regarding the commemorating of World Women Day on March 8, 2017. The function of the day will be organized in Nishtar Hall in which women from all districts of the province will participate.
