SARGODHA, (APP): Police on Thursday claimed to have arrested nine
drug peddlers and recovered narcotics and illegal weapons from them.
A Police spokesman said that teams of different police stations
conducted raids within the areas of their jurisdiction and apprehended
nine persons allegedly involved in heinous activities and recovered 613 gram heroin, 2585 gram hashish, 30 bottles liquor, 4 pistols and 37 cartridges and bullets.
Those arrested by Police identified as Shafqat Abbas, Shahid Iqbal,
Muhammad Farooq, Bilal Ahmed, Samar Hayyat, Ali Murad, Muhammad Sarwar, Imran Shah, Nasir Hussain and others.
Police have registered separate cases against the accused and
started investigation.
In another operation, Police have also arrested nine proclaimed offenders
(POs), involved in heinous crimes like murder, attempt to murder and robbery cases.
