Father wanted to make martyred son an Islamic scholar

ISLAMABAD, (APP): A youth, Mohammad Ishaq Parray, who was killed
by Indian troops in Tral, was a brilliant student and his outstanding performances in secondary and higher secondary classes had earned him the nickname of `Newton’ in the area.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Mohammad Ishaq Parray, a resident
of Laribal, Tral, had scored 98.4 percent marks in class X exams in 2011 and 89 percent in class 12 in 2013.
Ishaq’s father, Mohammad Ismail Parray, a retired government employee,
told a Srinagar-based English daily that although his son was brilliant in academics, he intended to make him an Islamic scholar.
The neighbours and relatives remember Ishaq as highly religious.”He
always offered prayers on time and was an avid reader of Islamic books,” said one of his cousins.
