JI in IOK flays Indian Army Chief’s statement about party

ISLAMABAD,(MILLAT+APP): Jamaat-e-Islami in Indian occupied
Kashmir has taken strong exception the statement of the Indian
Army Chief about the party, saying it is totally unfounded and
result of lack of proper knowledge.
JI spokesman, Advocate Zahid Ali in a statement in Srinagar
said that Jamaat was formed in 1941 before the partition of Indian
sub-continent with the sole purpose of inculcating in Muslims the
real knowledge of Islam, reported KMS.
He said that the allegation of the Indian Army Chief that JI
was propagating the radicalization among the Muslim youth was
totally baseless.
He said that the Jamaat-e-Islami of the territory was not
backed by any country but formed by the local people and for the
local people.
It is an independent organization governed locally and
guided by a written Constitution, he added.
