ISLAMABAD, (MILLAT/APP): Pakistan India Business Council
(PBC) Wednesday welcomed the appointment Tehmina Janjua as new
Foreign Secretary.
In a statement issued here, PBC Chairman, Noor Mohammad Qasuri
said that Tehmina Janjua has a vast experience, so she would promote
Pakistan’s soft image across the world.
Qasuri said that Tehmina Janjua, currently serving as
Pakistan’s permanent representative to the United Nations (UN) in
Geneva, is the first woman appointed to the Foreign Office’s top
post.
He expressed the hope that the new foreign secretary would
also promote Pakistan’s relations with the neighboring countries,
particularly with India.
