UK delegation visits Sialkot

SIALKOT, Mar 6 (APP): A delegation of Task Force for Violence
against Women, Church of Scotland, UK, visited the offices of
Pakistan Council for Social Welfare and Human Rights (PCSWHR)
here on Monday.
Mr. Sandy Sneddon led the delegation.
The delegates discussed in details the matters of mutual
interest with PCSWHR Chairman Muhammad Ejaz Noori.
On this occasion, Mr. Sandy Sneddon said that violence against
women and gender indiscrimination was growing in the world due to
non-implementation on the religious teachings and distances from
the culture.
Mr. Sandy Sneddon stressed the need for promotion of religious teachings the culture to overcome the violence against women and
even the gender indiscrimination from a society as well. However,
the economical and social autonomy to the women could also play a
pivotal role in curbing the menace of the gender indiscrimination.
Replying to a question, Mr. Sandy Sneddon added that the use
of power had ever ruined the global peace, as the use of power
could never be an amicable solution to the problems as well.
He stressed the need for early solution to Kashmir and
Palestine issues as per the aspirations of the local people.
