Minister highlights adoption of uniform education system

ISLAMABAD, (MILLAT/APP): Minister for Religious Affairs and
Interfaith Harmony, Sardar Muhammad Yousaf on Tuesday highlighted
the need for implementing uniform education system across the
country.
Addressing a prize distribution ceremony at Boys College
Gujjar Khan, he said “There is need for introducing uniform
education system in madaris and formal educational institutions.”
He said by adopting uniform education system the existing gap
between the madaris and schools will be overcome.
He advocated that Quran education should be made compulsory
in the formal education system with the major aim to acquaint the
younger generations with the Quranic teachings.
The minister said that the efforts are afoot to modernize the
educational system thus making it matching according to the modern
day needs especially in the science and technology sector.
Later, he gave away prizes to the students of the college for
their outstanding performances in the curricula as well as extra
curricular activities.
