ISLAMABAD, (MILLAT/APP): Directorate of Culture Khyber
Pakhtunkhwa has launched a special campaign in Lower Dir to
promote local culture.
He said that purpose of the campaign is to promote local
culture, traditions and customs. A number of poetry and music
programmes will be arranged in the district as part of the three-
month campaign,reported a private news channel(Dunya News).
Tehsil Nazim Riaz Muhammad Advocate said that promotion of
Pakhtun culture, music, poetry and other traditions is the need of
hour.
“Terrorism and natural disasters like earthquakes and floods
have caused massive losses to Pakhtun culture. We have now decided
to revive our cultural life again. We will revive the traditions
of Hujra, music, poetry and traditional dresses too,” he added.
