Jansher hails unopposed election of AVM Shahid Akhtar Alvi as SVP of PSF

PESHAWAR, (MILLAT/APP): The World known Champion, Jansher Khan, who
ruled squash World for ten years, congratulated Air Vice Marshall Shahid Akhtar Alvi on his election as Senior Vice President of Pakistan Squash Federation in a recently held 44th Annual General meeting held in Islamabad.
This he said while taking to APP here on Monday. Jansher Khan expressed
his views that the game of squash will lead to the advancement in Pakistan due to personal interest of Air Vice Marshal Shahid Akhtar Alvi.
Pakistan will also get its lost glory once again but pin this with the
hard work of the players. He said unless and until players did not stick to their hard work they could not achieve the lost glory.
The record World Open Champion for eight years, Jansher Khan also
thanked to President Pakistan Squash Federation, Air Chief Marshall Sohail Aman, Chief of the Air Staff Pakistan Air Force, cordially to elect Air Vice Marshall Shahid Akhtar Alvi and it is true interpretation of their hearts.
Jansher Khan recalled that when Air Vice Marshall Shahid Akhtar Alvi was
appointed in Peshawar then he served unforgettable services for the development of game of squash by sparing some time from his busy and official schedule, which is the great example.
Due to this reason, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa holds the title of Award of
Performance till today. The World Champion Jansher Khan said that Shahid Akhtar Alvi ensured in the meeting that until he is at the post of Senior Vice President, he will work with great zeal and spirit to conduct the big events like Pakistan Open and World Junior Championship and to get the lost glory of game of squash in the country.
The six years British Open Champion, Jansher Khan further added that the
events, which Professional Squash Association (PSA) took back due to some security threats, the President Air Chief Marshal Sohial Aman said by issuing special instructions in the 44th Annual meeting that the security company of PSA should be called in the country to remove their concerns about security issues and ensure them that there is no issue of security in Pakistan now.

Pakistan, he said, adding, Pakistan set an example by conducting six squash tournaments in Pakistan last year and most of the international player across the world participated in these events.”
Now Pakistan has also conducted the final of PSL in Lahore and the super
star players of the world participated in this event fearlessly, Jansher Khan remarked. At the end, former World Champion, Jansher Khan thanked to President Air Chief Marshall Sohail Aman to elect Air Vice Marshall Shahid Akhtar Alvi as Senior Vice President.
