Eight-day anti-polio campaign from March 22: DC

KOHAT, (MILLAT/APP): Deputy Commissioner Kohat, Akmal Khan said on Tuesday that an eight-day anti-polio campaign would start from March 22 to 29 in Kohat district wherein children up to five year of age would be provided oral vaccine against polio while children below 23 months of age will be administered injections against the crippling disease.
Talking at a meeting to finalize arrangement for anti-polio campaign, the DC said anti-polio injections are for once while anti-polio drops would be administered to children in every anti-polio campaign.
The meeting was told that teams have been constituted for the purpose and registration process of the children has been started.
He said every team has been assigned to administer anti-polio injections to at least 45 children.
He said it was our collective responsibility to take active part in anti-polio drive. He asked the parents to extend complete cooperation to the polio staff in this noble cause.
He directed the health department to deploy well trained staff for anti-polio injections so as to avert any untoward situation.
