Mudassar wants raise in PNF’s budget

ISLAMABAD, (MILLAT/APP): President Pakistan Netball Federation
(PNF) Mudassar Arain has appealed the government to increase
federation’s budget in order to give the players more international
exposure.
Talking to APP, he said PNF is currently receiving Rs 5.5
million budget which is not enough to train the players with modern
technological equipment and foreign coaches.
“PNF wants to hire foreign coaches for training but the
federation cannot afford the expenses”, he said.
He said all activities including office expenses, training,
coaches’ fees, conducting national and domestic level events and
international championship participation are being covered in the
given budget.
Speaking about the recently concluded championship, he said
that the event was aimed to bring new talent from gross-root level.
“This tournament will help players for the upcoming second
Asian Netball championship in Thailand and commonwealth games which
are scheduled to be held next year,” he said.
