Grief prevails in Charsadda as death toll rises to 15

CHARSADDA, (APP): Grief and sorrow prevailed in the district
over the deaths of innocent people due to suicide explosion in the premises of lower courts at tehsil Shabqadar on Monday as people are visiting to the martyr’s residences and offering condolences to the members of the bereaved families.
Lawyers, politicians, civil society activists, government officials and
people from cross sections of the society on Tuesday visited the residences of Head constable Nasimullah Khan and constable Aiman Khan who embraced martyrdom after stoping the suicide bomber at the main gate and not allowing him to enter the district courts.The visitors offered Fateha and condoled with the family members.

Hayat Khan Sherpao, Member National Assembly Maulana Gohar Shah, Members Provincial Assembly Arshad Umar Zai, Babar Khan, Ameer of Jamaat-e-Islami Misbabullah and a large number of people attended the funeral prayers of
the martyred cops the other day and paid tributes to their bravery
and sacrifices for the country.
The Governor KP Iqbal Zafar Jhagra, Chief Minister Pervez Khattak and
PTI Chief Imran Khan also visited Lady Reading Hospital where they inquired after the health of blast victims and directed best possible treatment to them.
In a bid to register their protest against the brutal attack, legal
fraternity on the call of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Bar Council on Tuesday boycotted courts proceedings.
Chairman Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Bar Council Muhammad Tariq Afridi while
strongly condemning suicide bomb blast in Shabqadar lower courts, had announced to boycott courts proceedings as mark of protest today. He demanded of the PTl government to take pragmatic measures for the protection of lawyers’ community and early arrest of the perpetrators.
He asked all bar associations of the province to hold condolence
reference in memory of the departed souls of the incident and prayed early recovery of the injured.
Meanwhile, the death toll from the attack has reached to 15 as another
police constable Shabeer Khan succumbed to his critical wounds at a local hospital.
The funeral prayer of the shaheed was held at Police Lines Charsadda
after which he was laid to rest at his ancestral graveyard with full honour. A large number of people attended the funeral prayer.
